Service Standards and Best Practices

• Provide leadership in support of Service Provider Organizations (SPO’s)

• Stay current with Canadian immigration policies and practices

• Identify best practices for Jewish settlement and integration

• Provide professional development and networking opportunities

• Collect and analyse data

• Disseminate pertinent information and facilitate information exchange

JIAS Canada has always been acknowledged as an expert consultant to the communities on matters of immigration, settlement and integration. Our in-house experience and skills help establish standards and ensure that services are provided in the most efficient manner across the country. In addition, we are responsible for each community being armed with basic knowledge of Canadian immigration programs by staying current with Canadian immigration policies and programs. We act as a liaison with other NGO’s in the immigration and settlement field where we represent the Jewish community and gather data on mutual programs and best practices.

JIAS Canada has been the clearing house for all pertinent information and materials with regards to immigration, settlement and integration. We have been consistently receiving materials from a variety of sources from Canada, the United States and overseas which we analyse and disseminate to our community partners as appropriate.

JIAS Canada aims to provide professional development opportunities to both the front-line-staff and management of the SPO’s as well as networking opportunities. We hold conference calls and workshops with experts in the field and provide forums for sharing best practices.

JIAS Canada co-ordinates a group of Executive Directors of all SPO's from coast to coast communities.
